Recap and a Quick Glimpse...

Wow. What a crazy 2 weeks it's been! It started with my first trip to SXSW and as much as I wanted to stay longer than I did, we got a lot done. The party at Barcelona (which seemed to be the venue of the week) went ham all day and night! Atlantic Connection and I rocked a set there, bounced to The Woodie Awards, came back and it was still goin' bananas! Big up to Sol.ID as well as the entire Methods NYC crew for putting that together. Bless.
The Woodie Awards were crazy. Gripped a ride there with this siik band from LA called Atlantic Line who also happened to be part of the HYPE project. Cool cats worth checkin out. Although I am very disappointed in them for losing a very long and hard fought battle of Beer Pong to Yelawolf and Lil B. I know better than to bet with my heart instead of instincts. Ha!
Lots of questions on the red carpet about my feelings on the emergence of Dubstep. For those of you living under a rock, Dubstep is H U G E in the states at the moment and it's here to stay. Proof of that is walking to our seats at the awards only to here Skrillex murkin it. Yall already know how I feel about it so there is no need to rehash my love for progress. Blur the lines.

AC: "I feel like I just walked into a SMOG party..." <--- Indeed homie, indeed.

Next day, Atlantic Connection and I were playing at MTV Garage for the HYPE project (deets: www.hypemusic.com). Saw a lot of great bands and learned some things. Always good. At what I thought was a siik timeslot, AC and I banged out a great set (pics on my Facebook) featuring tracks from the project (Hold On, Need 2 Know & Hypem) with a heavy dub freebie at the end. Can't wait til the world gets to hear all that! Stuck around the rest of show to fully understand why Matt & Kim definitely deserve the Woodie for 'Performers of the Year'. They almost brought the house down. Sorry for the terrible pun but seriously, I really thought that place was gonna collapse from the jumping. Wild. Thanks MTV and everyone at HYPE music.
